These scarves are truly one of a kind. Each scarf is created by a nuno wet felted technique, the technique bonds loose fibre, usually wool, into a sheer fabric such as silk, creating a lightweight felt. The pictures include felting of the scarf before, and the finished product.
Each scarf will be unique, and can be custom ordered for certain colors and designs. This scarf is inspired by my garden. Living on an organic farm in upstate New York has allowed me to witness some of nature's harvest, including sunflowers in the late summers and early autumn. This scarf features the many varieties of sunflowers I grow in my garden, including Velvet Queen, Ring of Fire, Teddy Bear, Sunspots and Sungolds.
