These scarves are truly one of a kind. Each scarf is created by a nuno wet felted technique, the technique bonds loose fibre, usually wool, into a sheer fabric such as silk, creating a lightweight felt. The pictures include felting of the scarf before, and the finished product.
Each scarf will be unique, and can be custom ordered for certain colors and designs. This scarf is inspired by the bleeding heart plant, one of my favorites. These felted scarves are left in a minimal style, and much of the hand-dyed silk used as a base layer is left exposed to create a sheer look.
